The Solitary Teacher

She was a teacher who took pride in her kids. Rays of sunshine filtered through the window blinds and lit up the desks in the front row. Everything was so familiar and yet felt strange to her. She felt strange, really. As if she'd never seen anything before and now it was all suddenly clear.

What was she thinking about?

"Mmm.. last evening of my teacher life.. This was the room I taught for the last 3 years.. Knew that this day was coming for long time.. I will never be here again. When I look at each desk, I can imagine it with each distinct student. Will I ever see them again? Will I ever come to this room again?"

The dusky sunlight is stretching the shadows and dimming. Everyone gone except me. Her old but firm hands felt the edge of her favorite table. Holding them, she stood up and had one last look at the room for what seemed liked an eternity and came out with tears rolling her cheeks..

raju: wow, very profound and nalla imagination.Naan etho simple-a story start panitu-left the ending for different folks to use their imagination and come up with sthng to see different endings-good one.

ttg:no offense meant, didn't mean to do that, but thought the last question was out of context to the blog- so what gave you that idea?
